The National Endowment for the Humanities awarded Arkansas Humanities Council Inc. $736,900 on June 1, 2026, under the Promotion of the Humanities Federal/State Partnership program (CFDA 45.129).

Arkansas Humanities Council delivers public humanities programming across Arkansas through seminars, workshops, lectures, exhibitions, and educational initiatives that connect residents to the state's culture, history, and stories. The organization provides general operating support and passes through federal humanities funding to local nonprofit organizations and cultural institutions throughout the state.

The award covers a five-year period of performance through April 30, 2031, with place of performance in Arkansas. The Federal/State Partnership program provides general operating support grants to state and jurisdictional humanities councils to advance knowledge and understanding of the humanities and increase public awareness of and access to humanities resources. State and jurisdictional humanities councils must expend funds during the first three years of the five-year period of performance.
