Description

Additionally, local wells are experiencing contamination from arsenic, iron, manganese, and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) leading to increased rates of flushing and heavier reliance on imported water supplies. This project will develop the murrieta system optimization review (SOR), which will examine water supply sources, assess water quality parameters, analyze imported water availability, and identify potential improvements to the water supply system to address these concerns and ensure long-term water security, benefitting wmwd customers in the murrieta retail service area.
