This $117,809 federal Project Grant award from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under the Continuum of Care (CoC) Program (CFDA 14.267) will support the Armstrong County Community Action Agency in Kittanning, PA to provide a range of homeless assistance services. The funds will be used to establish and operate projects across five CoC Program components: permanent housing, transitional housing, supportive services, Homeless Management Information Systems (HMIS), and homelessness prevention. Specific eligible activities include rental assistance, housing relocation and stabilization, operating costs of supportive housing, and implementation of HMIS. The award aims to decrease homelessness in the local community by reducing the length of time individuals and families experience homelessness, preventing returns to homelessness, and increasing exits to permanent housing. As the grant recipient, the Armstrong County Community Action Agency will serve as the primary service provider, potentially partnering with subrecipients to deliver various homeless assistance initiatives throughout the project period starting March 11, 2025.
