The Department of Housing and Urban Development awarded County Of Lancaster (operating as Controller's Office) $190,023 under the Continuum of Care Program (CFDA 14.267) on May 1, 2026. The Continuum of Care Program funds efforts by nonprofit providers, states, and local governments to quickly house homeless individuals and families while minimizing trauma and dislocation caused by homelessness, promote access to mainstream programs by homeless individuals and families, and optimize self-sufficiency among those experiencing homelessness. Eligible activities include permanent housing (including permanent supportive housing for persons with disabilities and rapid rehousing), transitional housing, supportive services only, Homeless Management Information Systems (HMIS), and in some cases homelessness prevention. Funding may also support COC planning activities, United Funding Agency costs for fiscal control and accounting, acquisition and rehabilitation of real property for housing or supportive services, and new construction. Performance period runs through April 30, 2027, with place of performance at Rohrerstown, Pennsylvania 17603.
