This $123,443 Project Grant award from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under the Continuum of Care (CoC) Program (CFDA 14.267) will support efforts by the County of Butler, Pennsylvania to address homelessness in the community. The CoC Program provides funding to quickly rehouse homeless individuals and families, while minimizing trauma and promoting self-sufficiency. Eligible activities under this award include permanent housing, transitional housing, supportive services, Homeless Management Information Systems (HMIS), and homelessness prevention.
As the prime recipient, the County of Butler will administer the grant funding and may partner with local nonprofit organizations as sub-recipients to deliver grant-funded services directly to Butler County residents experiencing homelessness. The intended outcomes are to decrease the number of individuals and families experiencing homelessness, measured by reduced length of time homeless, fewer returns to homelessness, and increased exits to permanent housing.
