The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded a $119,091 Continuum of Care (CoC) Program grant (CFDA 14.267) to Volunteers Of America Delaware Valley, Inc. on March 11, 2025. The CoC Program is designed to promote community-wide efforts to quickly house homeless individuals and families while minimizing trauma and supporting self-sufficiency.
The grant funds will enable Volunteers Of America Delaware Valley to provide a range of eligible activities under the CoC Program, including permanent housing, transitional housing, supportive services, and homelessness prevention. The organization will utilize the funding to deliver services such as rapid rehousing, case management, behavioral health support, and reintegration assistance for ex-offenders in the Camden, New Jersey area. The expected outcomes include decreasing the number of individuals and families experiencing homelessness by reducing the length of homelessness, returns to homelessness, and increasing exits to permanent housing.
