This $439,820 Project Grant award, provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under the Continuum of Care (CoC) Program (CFDA 14.267), will fund the provision of housing and support services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Hainesport Township, New Jersey. The grant recipient, Legacy Treatment Services Inc., is a nonprofit behavioral health organization that will use the funds to offer temporary and permanent supportive housing, as well as comprehensive support services, to quickly rehouse homeless individuals and families and promote their self-sufficiency. The activities to be performed under this award include rental assistance, operating costs of supportive housing, supportive services to help participants obtain and maintain housing, and costs related to implementing and operating a Homeless Management Information System (HMIS). The expected outcomes of this grant are a decrease in the number of individuals and families experiencing homelessness, as well as improvements in performance indicators such as length of time homeless, returns to homelessness, and exits to permanent housing.
