The Department of Housing and Urban Development Assistant Secretary for Community Planning and Development awarded County of Guilford $177,898 on October 1, 2025, under the Continuum of Care Program (CFDA 14.267) to support homeless services in Greensboro, North Carolina. The award runs through September 30, 2026.
Under the Continuum of Care Program, funds support five program components: permanent housing (including permanent supportive housing and rapid rehousing), transitional housing, supportive services only, Homeless Management Information Systems, and homelessness prevention. Eligible costs include planning activities, fiscal control and accounting through a unified funding agency, acquisition and rehabilitation of real property, new construction, and related supportive services. County of Guilford, as the recipient, will administer the funding in the Greensboro area to promote community-wide commitment to ending homelessness and to quickly house homeless individuals and families while minimizing trauma and dislocation.
