The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration awarded Hudson River Park Trust $1,031,000 on January 1, 2027, under the Congressionally Identified Awards and Projects program (CFDA 11.469) to design, fabricate, install, and monitor in-water habitat enhancement features north of 14th Street in Manhattan, New York City.
The project builds on two previous congressional directed allocations to Hudson River Park Trust for designing and monitoring nearby oyster habitat enhancements. The additional implementation and monitoring supported by this award will advance scientific understanding of ecosystem benefits associated with near-shore engineered shoreline features in highly urban areas. Work is funded through the Community-Based Restoration Program via a community project earmark.
Performance spans four years, concluding December 31, 2030. Place of performance is New York, NY.
