FOR THIS PROJECT STUDENTS WILL STUDY THEIR LOCAL TINKERS CREEK WATERSHED WHILE CONSIDERING HOW THEIR ACTIONS THERE IMPACT THE LARGER LAKE ERIE WATERSHED OF WHICH IT FORMS A PART. THIS WILL TEACH STUDENTS HOW THEIR SCHOOL DISTRICT IS CONNECTED TO THE WHOLE GREAT LAKES BASIN. THE PROJECT IS TITLED, IMPLEMENTING MEANINGFUL WATERSHED EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES IN THE TINKERS CREEK WATERSHED. THE PROJECT WILL ENGAGE ALL 7TH GRADE STUDENTS IN BEDFORD CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT (BCSD) IN ALL ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS OF THE MEANINGFUL WATERSHED EDUCATION EXPERIENCES (MWEES), AND TO PROVIDE EFFECTIVE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT THAT WILL PREPARE TEACHERS IN BCSD TO IMPLEMENT MWEES WITH THEIR STUDENTS.
