PURPOSE: THIS PROJECT SEEKS TO EXPAND BUFFALO NIAGARA WATERKEEPER'S (BNW) DECADES LONG WATER QUALITY AND ECOSYSTEM MONITORING PROJECT TO ENHANCE UNDERSTANDING AND PUBLIC AWARENESS OF WESTERN NEW YORK'S (WNY) LAKE ERIE COASTLINE AND NEARSHORE ENVIRONMENTS. ACTIVITIES TO BE PERFORMED: THROUGH THIS PROJECT, BNW WILL UNDERTAKE A DETAILED LITERATURE REVIEW OF DATA AND RESEARCH FOCUSED ON THE EASTERN BASIN OF LAKE ERIE WATER QUALITY. THE LITERATURE REVIEW WILL INFORM OPPORTUNITIES TO EXPAND AND DEVELOP A MORE ROBUST WATER QUALITY AND ECOSYSTEM MONITORING PROGRAM THROUGH ADDITIONAL SITES.
