The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded a $215,180 Continuum of Care (CoC) Program grant (CFDA #14.267) to Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul & Minneapolis on March 11, 2025. The grant funds will support Catholic Charities' efforts to address homelessness in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metropolitan area. Eligible activities under the CoC Program include permanent housing, transitional housing, supportive services, homeless management information systems (HMIS), and homelessness prevention. Catholic Charities, as a key recipient of federal grants to combat homelessness, will leverage the CoC Program funding to provide a range of housing assistance and support services, such as rapid rehousing, rental assistance, case management, job training, and mental health/substance abuse treatment. The organization's comprehensive approach aims to quickly rehouse homeless individuals and families while minimizing trauma and promoting self-sufficiency.
