The Project Grant award of $1,231,500 from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) National Leadership Grants (CFDA #45.312) program will enable Voices In Contemporary Art Inc. (Voca) to develop the capacity of art museum professionals across the United States in artist-centered stewardship practices. Over a 3-year period from Sep 1, 2024 to Aug 31, 2027, the project will conduct 18 workshops attended by teams from over 200 museums, training 500 art museum professionals on integrating artist-centered practices within their institutions. Voca will also create a digital resource center, journal, and blog to disseminate the experiences, practices, and lessons learned to a network of over 10,000 museum-based colleagues, building a community of practice among professionals.
