This federal Project Grant award of $128,173 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under the Continuum of Care (CoC) Program (CFDA 14.267) supports community-based efforts to quickly rehouse and provide supportive services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Rockford, Illinois. The funding will be used by the City of Rockford's Human Services Department to deliver a range of eligible CoC Program activities, including permanent housing, transitional housing, supportive services, homelessness prevention, and Homeless Management Information Systems (HMIS). As a subrecipient, the City of Rockford partners with local nonprofits and community organizations to implement these housing and social services aimed at decreasing homelessness, reducing the length of homelessness, and promoting self-sufficiency. This award, effective March 11, 2025, is part of HUD's broader efforts to foster community-wide strategies to address and end homelessness nationwide.
