CFY SERVES SIX SCHOOL-DISTRICT COMMUNITIES: BERMUDIAN SPRINGS, CONEWAGO VALLEY, FAIRFIELD AREA, GETTYSBURG AREA, LITTLESTOWN AREA, AND UPPER ADAMS. CAPACITY GAPS INCLUDE UNEVEN DISTRICT-LEVEL POLICY AND ENFORCEMENT, LIMITED COORDINATED MESSAGING ACROSS SIX DISTRICTS AND MULTIPLE LAW-ENFORCEMENT JURISDICTIONS, AND NO DEDICATED STOP-FUNDED INFRASTRUCTURE FOR INTERGOVERNMENTAL COORDINATION. POPULATION OF FOCUS YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULTS AGES 12-20 ENROLLED IN GRADES 6-12 ACROSS ADAMS COUNTY'S SIX PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICTS (~12,000-14,000 STUDENTS). THE COUNTY IS APPROXIMATELY 50/50 FEMALE/MALE; ~24% OF HOUSEHOLDS FALL WITHIN THE ALICE THRESHOLD; MOST SCHOOLS REPORT FREE-AND-REDUCED-LUNCH RATES OF 50% OR HIGHER. THE POPULATION INCLUDES YOUTH INVOLVED WITH JUVENILE JUSTICE, SOCIAL SERVICES, AND CHILD WELFARE, AND FAMILIES OF VETERANS. STRATEGIES AND INTERVENTIONS CFY WILL IMPLEMENT EVIDENCE-BASED AND EVIDENCE-INFORMED STRATEGIES ALIGNED WITH THE STATE PERFORMANCE AND BEST PRACTICES FOR THE PREVENTION AND REDUCTION OF UNDERAGE DRINKING, INCLUDING: (1) PARENTS WHO HOST LOSE THE MOST (PWHLTM) CAREGIVER CAMPAIGNS IN ALL SIX DISTRICTS; (2) SPRING/PROM SOCIAL-NORMS PROJECTS REACHING 4,000 STUDENTS ANNUALLY; (3) POSITIVE SOCIAL-NORMS MESSAGING ON TEEN-APPROPRIATE STREAMING PLATFORMS (30,000 LISTENERS/YEAR); (4) SCHOOL ALCOHOL-POLICY REVIEW AND DISTRICT-SPECIFIC PAYS DATA PRESENTATIONS; (5) A MULTI-JURISDICTIONAL LAW-ENFORCEMENT COORDINATION PROCESS; (6) TOWN HALLS ON UNDERAGE-DRINKING LAWS, RISKS, AND CO-OCCURRING MENTAL-HEALTH CONCERNS; (7) A CROSS-DISTRICT YOUTH ADVISORY GROUP CO-CREATING PROGRAM DESIGN AND MESSAGING; (8) THE NATIONAL TALK.
