Description
Credentialing support partnership - with resources from the substance abuse and mental health services administration congressionally directive funding, the new hampshire alcohol and drug abuse counselors association (NHADACA) will implement its credentialing support partnership (CSP), which aims to 1) increase the number of licensed substance use clinicians and 2) enhance the quality of and access to care delivered to individuals seeking treatment for substance use disorders. Working with cooperating agencies and individuals seeking licensure, the CSP assists with supporting and expanding new hampshire's substance use disorder workforce. The CSP is a unique clinical supervision and mentoring program developed as an innovative substance use workforce initiative to address new hampshire's behavioral health workforce shortage. The population of focus for this project includes individuals in new hampshire seeking clinical licensure as licensed alcohol and drug counselors (LADCS) or master licensed alcohol and drug counselors (MLADCS). Participants will have access to clinical supervision, training resources, exam study sessions, and formal mentoring and guidance surrounding the licensing process throughout the duration of the program. By the end of the project a minimum of 50 people will receive clinical supervision necessary to complete their application for licensure as a ladc or mladc. NHADACA will build on its success with providing credentialing support to licensure candidates and will accomplish the project goals with a team of 3.6 FTE program staff. A project director will ensure successful implementation and NHADACA will provide regular reports to ensure all project goals are met.
