The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) was awarded a $9,012,187 Project Grant from the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services under the Disability Innovation Fund (CFDA 84.421) program. The five-year award, effective October 1, 2024, supports UTSA's "Workforce Development for Neuro-Developmental Disability (WD-NDD): Employer-Focused Practices to Facilitate Neurodiversity in the Workforce" project. This initiative aims to improve employment and transition outcomes for individuals with disabilities by developing and implementing innovative demonstration programs. As part of this project, UTSA has sub-awarded $526,927 to The Multi-Assistance Center at Morgan's Wonderland to operate the Workforce Inclusion Network, which will provide participant referrals, navigation, and facility space to support the project's vocational training and employment services.
