The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded a $169,431 Continuum of Care (CoC) Program grant (CFDA 14.267) to The Center For Family Resources, Inc. (CFR) on November 1, 2024. The CoC Program is designed to promote community-wide efforts to quickly house and provide supportive services to homeless individuals and families.
Under this award, CFR will use the funds to provide a range of housing assistance and supportive services in the Marietta, Georgia area. Eligible activities include permanent housing, transitional housing, supportive services, and homelessness prevention. CFR's programs focus on promoting self-sufficiency and minimizing chronic homelessness through services such as rental and utility assistance, direct housing placements, case management, mental health and substance abuse treatment, and job training. The organization also collaborates with federal and state programs, including partnerships with the City of Marietta and the Department of Human Services, to deliver emergency assistance and services to vulnerable populations experiencing housing instability.
