The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded a $264,198 Project Grant under the Continuum of Care (CoC) Program (CFDA 14.267) to the Georgia Housing & Finance Authority on March 11, 2025. The CoC Program provides funding to nonprofit organizations, state and local governments, and public housing agencies to quickly rehouse homeless individuals and families while minimizing trauma and promoting self-sufficiency. The grant funds may be used for a range of eligible activities, including permanent housing, transitional housing, supportive services, homeless management information systems (HMIS), and homelessness prevention. The Georgia Housing & Finance Authority, through its Housing Policy And Administration Division, will use the grant to deliver comprehensive housing assistance and social services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness in the Atlanta metropolitan area and broader Georgia region. The specific sub-recipient activities are not known at the time of the award.
