This federal Project Grant award of $391,408, provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under the Continuum of Care (CoC) Program (CFDA 14.267), supports efforts by the Georgia Housing & Finance Authority to address homelessness in the Atlanta metropolitan area.
The funding will enable the Georgia Housing & Finance Authority and its sub-recipients to provide a range of eligible activities under the CoC Program, including permanent housing, transitional housing, supportive services, homeless management information systems, and homelessness prevention. Specific services may include rental assistance, case management, job training, mental health and substance abuse treatment, and other comprehensive social support to help homeless individuals and families achieve self-sufficiency and maintain permanent housing. This award further demonstrates HUD's commitment to promoting community-wide strategies to quickly rehouse the homeless, minimize trauma, and optimize access to mainstream resources.
