The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded a $436,193 Continuum of Care (CoC) Program grant (CFDA 14.267) to the Georgia Housing & Finance Authority on March 11, 2025. The CoC Program is designed to promote community-wide efforts to quickly rehouse homeless individuals and families while minimizing trauma and promoting self-sufficiency.
The funding will support the Authority's work to provide a range of housing and supportive services across the Atlanta metropolitan area, including permanent supportive housing, rapid rehousing, transitional housing, and homelessness prevention initiatives. Specific eligible activities include rental assistance, acquisition/rehabilitation of housing, operations, supportive services, and homeless management information systems. The Authority will collaborate with nonprofit providers, local governments, and public housing agencies to deliver these comprehensive solutions to address the complex housing needs of Georgia's homeless and at-risk populations.
