THE TARGET POPULATION IS ALL INDIVIDUALS AT RISK FOR SUD/OUD AND/OR CO-OCCURRING MENTAL DISORDERS; INDIVIDUALS DIAGNOSED WITH SUD/OUD AND/OR CO-OCCURRING MENTAL DISORDERS; INDIVIDUALS IN TREATMENT AND/OR RECOVERY FOR SUD/OUD AND/OR OTHER CO-OCCURRING MENTAL DISORDERS; THEIR FAMILIES AND/OR CAREGIVERS; AND IMPACTED COMMUNITY MEMBERS WHO RESIDE IN THE RURAL TARGET SERVICE AREA OF ATCHISON, CALDWELL, CLINTON, DAVIESS, DEKALB, GENTRY, GRUNDY, HARRISON, HOLT, LIVINGSTON, MERCER, NODAWAY, AND WORTH COUNTIES. THERE IS AN EMPHASIS ON HIGH-RISK POPULATIONS, TO INCLUDE UNINSURED AND UNDERINSURED POPULATIONS WHO OFTEN WILL NOT SEEK OR STAY IN TREATMENT DUE TO COST AS WELL AS THOSE WITH ACTIVE MILITARY OR VETERAN STATUS. THE PERCENTAGE OF NATIVE AMERICAN POPULATION IN THE TARGET SERVICE AREA IS 0.5% (640 PEOPLE), WHICH IS MORE THAN STATE, BUT LESS THAN NATIONAL AVERAGES.
