The Department of Housing and Urban Development Public and Indian Housing Office awarded $216,274 to the Housing Authority of Clackamas County on January 1, 2026, under the Family Self-Sufficiency Program (CFDA 14.896).
The award funds salaries and fringe benefits for FSS coordinators who implement the Family Self-Sufficiency program for residents of public housing, Housing Choice Vouchers, and project-based rental assistance properties. FSS coordinators enroll and maintain families in the program, work with families to prepare individual training and services plans, and build partnerships with employers and service providers in the community. The Housing Authority must hire or retain one full-time equivalent FSS coordinator and serve at least 25 participating families during the period of performance.
The performance period runs through December 31, 2026, with place of performance in Oregon City, Oregon. Over the 5–7 years of their participation contract, FSS participants are expected to become employed or improve their employment, increase wages, and meet other individual goals.
