THIS ONE YEAR STUDY WILL ESTIMATE THE RUN SIZE OF THE IN RIVER CHINOOK SALMON WITHIN THE SCOTT, SHASTA, AND SALMON RIVER BASINS AND OTHER MAJOR TRIBUTARIES OF THE MIDDLE KLAMATH RIVER DURING THE FALL 2025 SEASON.QUARTZ VALLEY (QV) WILL PROVIDE CREWS TO COORDINATE WITH CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF FISH AND WILDLIFE (CDFW) AND CONDUCT SURVEYS ASS DIRECTED BY CDFW FOLLOWING SET PROTOCOLS.QV WILL ATTEND SPAWNING SURVEY TRAINING.QV WILL PROVIDE ALL MATERIALS, EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, AND TRANSPORTATION.QV WILL GATHER DATA ON SPAWNER ABUNDANCE BY SPECIES, ENUMERATE REDDS, AND SAMPLE TISSUE FROM CARCASSES.QV WILL COLLECT TISSUE SAMPLES FROM CARCASSES FOR AGE ANALYSIS. QV WILL MARK ALL CARCASSES FOR POTENTIAL RECAPTURE.QV WILL COLLECT AND FREEZE HEADS OF ADIPOSE FIN CLIPPED FISH DURING SURVEYS.QV WILL SUBMIT SURVEY SHEETS AND TISSUE SAMPLES TO CDFW WEEKLY, AS WELL AS REDD DATA SHEETS.
