The City of Rowlett, Texas was awarded a $2.66 million project grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency under the Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) grant program. The goal of the SAFER program is to help local fire departments improve staffing and deployment capabilities for responding to emergencies and ensuring adequate fire and hazard protection for communities. Through this February 2022 grant, the City of Rowlett will enhance its ability to deliver fire and emergency response services to residents over a three-year period using the federal funding.
