The North Oakland County Fire Authority (NOCFA) was awarded a $541,944 Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) grant by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The SAFER grant program aims to help local fire departments improve staffing and deployment capabilities for responding to emergencies and ensuring adequate fire and hazard protection for communities. Through this November 30, 2021 project grant, NOCFA will enhance its ability to serve Holly, Michigan and the surrounding area by funding additional firefighter positions over a three-year period ending November 29, 2025. The grant supports NOCFA's mission of providing effective emergency response services to the community.
