This Project Grant award of $2,283,599.00 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Continuum of Care Program (CFDA 14.267) was provided to The Illumination Foundation, a nonprofit organization in Santa Ana, CA. The grant funds will support the organization's comprehensive services to address homelessness in Southern California, including emergency shelter, rapid rehousing, case management, mental health and substance abuse treatment, job training, and efforts to promote access to mainstream resources. The goal is to decrease the number of individuals and families experiencing homelessness by quickly housing them while minimizing trauma and promoting self-sufficiency. In addition to this prime award, The Illumination Foundation has also partnered as a sub-awardee with the City of Garden Grove and the State of California's Department of Housing and Community Development to deliver emergency shelter, rapid rehousing, and homelessness prevention activities using passthrough funding from HUD's Continuum of Care Program.
