This $1,998,759 Project Grant award from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)'s Continuum of Care (CoC) Program (CFDA 14.267) supports the efforts of St. Vincent De Paul Village, Inc. in San Diego, CA to address homelessness in the region. The funding will enable the organization to provide a comprehensive continuum of care, including permanent housing, transitional housing, supportive services, and homelessness prevention assistance. Key activities to be performed include: acquiring and rehabilitating structures for housing and supportive services, providing rental assistance and operating cost support for transitional and permanent housing, delivering a range of supportive services to help homeless individuals and families obtain and maintain housing, and implementing and operating a Homeless Management Information System (HMIS). The award aims to decrease the number of individuals and families experiencing homelessness in the San Diego area by reducing the length of time people are homeless, minimizing returns to homelessness, and increasing exits to permanent housing.
