This $561,027 Continuum of Care (CoC) Program grant, awarded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (CFDA 14.267), enables The Illumination Foundation to provide a range of services to address homelessness in Southern California. These services include emergency shelter, rapid rehousing, case management, mental health and substance abuse treatment, job training, and efforts to promote access to mainstream resources. The grant supports the organization's mission to quickly house homeless individuals and families while minimizing the trauma and disruption caused by homelessness, and to optimize self-sufficiency among those experiencing homelessness. The Illumination Foundation has received over $10 million in HUD CoC grants since 2019 to deliver these comprehensive services. In addition, the organization has partnered as a sub-awardee with the City of Garden Grove and the State of California's Department of Housing and Community Development to provide emergency shelter and rapid rehousing activities using passthrough funding from CoC grants.
