This Project Grant award of $2,693,449 was provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under the Continuum of Care (CoC) Program (CFDA 14.267). The CoC Program is designed to promote community-wide efforts to end homelessness by providing funding to quickly rehouse homeless individuals and families while minimizing the trauma and dislocation caused by homelessness.
The grant funds will support the City of Pomona, California in carrying out a range of eligible activities under the CoC Program, including permanent housing, transitional housing, supportive services, homeless management information systems (HMIS), and homelessness prevention. The specific sub-recipient activities are not yet known at the time of the award. This funding is intended to decrease the number of individuals and families experiencing homelessness in the Pomona area by improving performance indicators such as length of time homeless, returns to homelessness, and exits to permanent housing.
