Description

The OHR-o'keefe museum of art in biloxi, mississippi, will hire a full-time director of arts education to manage several projects to help community revitalization and increase arts access for their underserved population, with a specific focus on positively engaging local youth. The ability to RE-hire staff lost due to the covid-19 pandemic-related financial crisis will allow the museum to host exhibitions, programming, and services that reengage audiences and increase community wellbeing. The museum's arts enrichment program and summer art camps provide local youth with access to professional arts instruction and studio space, as well as a much-needed sense of community - both of which are especially important after a year of remote learning and the isolation of quarantine.
