SUN PRODUCE COOPERATIVE WILL ADVANCE PUBLIC AWARENESS AND VIABILITY FOR ARIZONA'S SMALLER-ACREAGE LOCAL FOOD PRODUCERS AND DISTRIBUTORS, FOCUSING ON STRENGTHENING THE STATE'S FOOD SYSTEM. THE PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF THIS PROJECT IS TO DEVELOP A FEASIBILITY STUDY AND COMPREHENSIVE BUSINESS PLAN FOR PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS. THIS CENTER WILL PROVIDE A SHARED FACILITY AND RESOURCES DESIGNED TO ENABLE SMALL-SCALE FARMERS, RANCHERS, AND FOOD PROCESSORS TO LEVERAGE INFRASTRUCTURE AND ECONOMIES OF SCALE. SUN PRODUCE COOPERATIVE WILL IMPLEMENT A MARKETING STRATEGY AND BRAND TO ELEVATE LOCAL FARMS, COORDINATE OUTREACH EFFORTS TO PRODUCERS AND CUSTOMERS, AND PROMOTE OVERALL COMMUNITY WELLNESS.
