CHOPLOCAL WILL FACILITATE THE ADOPTION OF ECOMMERCE SOLUTIONS AMONG LOCAL MEAT AND SEAFOOD PRODUCERS. THE INITIATIVE WILL PROVIDE DIRECT TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO 500 FARMERS RANCHERS AND SEAFOOD HARVESTERS WHO CURRENTLY SELL THEIR PRODUCTS DIRECTLY TO CONSUMERS. THIS SUPPORT WILL ENCOMPASS THE ESTABLISHMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF ECOMMERCE STORES ALONGSIDE THE IMPLEMENTATION OF DIGITAL MARKETING STRATEGIES. THE PROJECT WILL EQUIP THESE PRODUCERS WITH THE NECESSARY TOOLS AND KNOWLEDGE TO EXPAND THEIR SALES CHANNELS AND REACH A BROADER CUSTOMER BASE. THE ANTICIPATED OUTCOME IS THE CREATION OF AT LEAST 150 OPERATIONAL ECOMMERCE STORES DIRECTLY BENEFITING THESE PRODUCERS AND THEIR RESPECTIVE COMMUNITIES. BY ASSISTING THESE STAKEHOLDERS IN NAVIGATING THE COMPLEXITIES OF ONLINE SALES AND LOGISTICS CHOPLOCAL AIMS TO STRENGTHEN LOCAL FOOD SYSTEMS AND IMPROVE ACCESS TO LOCALLYSOURCED MEAT AND SEAFOOD FOR CONSUMERS.
