Description

This action awards federal funds of $3,395,112 for administration of a grant program to accelerate implementation of agricultural best management practices (BMP) in the most effective basins within the chesapeake BAY watershed of pennsylvania. This funding includes $3,295,112 toward implementation of activity 1 (BMP implementation) and $100,00 toward implementation of activity 2 (tracking, verifying, and reporting BMP progress). Federal funds in the amount of $16,975,560 are contingent upon availability. Note that the header of this award erroneously reflects IT is a grant agreement whereas IT is a cooperative agreement, and the headers of the budget details on page 4 should more accurately be identified as activity 1: accelerating BMP and activity 2: tracking BMP. EPA is implementing a new grant system that will soon be undergoing enhancements to correct these errors.
