The goal of this project is to install stationary chipping capacity to support wildfire prevention and ecological forest health projects for the region

Lignum Support LLC received a $1,000,000 Project Grant awarded September 5, 2025, from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service's Infrastructure and Investment Jobs Act Financial Assistance to Facilities that Purchase and Process Byproducts for Ecosystem Restoration program (CFDA 10.725). The grant funds the installation of stationary wood chipping capacity at the awardee's California facility to process forest management byproducts generated from ecosystem restoration and wildfire prevention projects in the Pacific Southwest Region.

The chipping infrastructure will support the company's forest health and ecological restoration operations by enabling increased processing capacity for biomass byproducts derived from vegetation removal on federal and Tribal lands. As a self-certified small disadvantaged business specializing in forest management and wood utilization, Lignum Support LLC will utilize this equipment to reduce vegetation removal costs on public lands while creating viable commercial markets for restoration byproducts. The project completion date is scheduled for June 30, 2028, with performance taking place in California.
