The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) was awarded a $672,893 Project Grant from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate under the Homeland Security, Research, Testing, Evaluation, and Demonstration of Technologies program (CFDA 97.108). The funding will support the "DEVELOPMENT AND VALIDATION OF ASSESSMENT TOOLS FOR TVTP OUTCOME AND IMPACT ASSESSMENT" project over a 2-year period from June 2024 to June 2026. The project aims to develop and validate assessment tools to measure the outcomes and impacts of Targeted Violence and Terrorism Prevention (TVTP) initiatives. This work aligns with the DHS S&T Directorate's goal of providing evidence-based scientific and technical expertise to inform homeland security policies and address emerging threats. As a leading research university, UNO leverages its expertise in data analytics, artificial intelligence, and related fields to support federal agencies like DHS through contracts and grants.
