Amikids will provide funding, oversight, and technical assistance to provide workforce development-focused out of school time programming for youth aged 14-21 with barriers to education and employment. In year 3, the two identified affiliates will expand program offerings by involving additional community partners and creating a mobile workforce development team that brings workforce services to the most rural communities in the sub-grantees service areas, thereby ensuring that those individuals facing the most significant obstacles to receiving services can benefit from this funding. The proposed outcomes are that 240 youth will complete a work experience, 240 will enter post-secondary education or occupational skills training, and 190 will enter unsubsidized employment. Additionally, we will develop 30 new workforce development partners, 30 new employer partners, 14 new education partners, six new labor partners, and 12 new optional partners during the three-year period.
