In partnership with Farmers Market Fund, the implementing agency for Oregon Double Up Food Bucks SNAP nutrition incentive programs, UA professor Stephanie Grutzmacher will use a variety of evaluation methods to examine program outcomes, identify best practices for implementation, and disseminate community, academic, and stakeholder outputs. Building on previous and current evaluation strategies, the following activities are proposed to further identify best practices for implementation and examine program processes and outcomes: 1. Collect individual-level and site-level core metrics for statewide and national process and outcome evaluation 2. Engage DUFB ambassadors to identify key opportunities and best practices for program delivery with specific DUFB subpopulations 3. Conduct site-level observations to evaluate customer experiences 4. Conduct in-depth and longitudinal data analyses using existing and future core metrics data, case study participant sample, and targeted focus groups 5. Disseminate lessons learned and other evaluation outputs in presentations and publications for collaborator, stakeholder, and professional audiences in Oregon and nationally Data will be analyzed and findings disseminated in accordance with the needs of Farmers Market Fund and its implementation partners, Oregon Food Bank and Pacific Northwest CSA Coalition. Oregon Food Bank will lead all aspects of the grocery (brick and mortar) portion of this proposal, including but not limited to brick and mortar store engagement, training and technical assistance, promotion and evaluation of grocery stores, and management and steering of the DUFB Ambassador program.
