Description
This plan will focus on creating a victim-centered, strength-based approach to enhance law enforcement, judicial systems, and community safety. The project is necessary because PRT currently has: limited access to comprehensive justice services, a need for alternatives to incarceration, a high rate of tribal member incarceration, and a pressing demand for more support for crime victims, including those impacted by domestic violence, child abuse, and substance use disorders. The tribe does not currently have law enforcement, courts, corrections, alternative dispute resolution, prevention or intervention initiatives for members at risk or already involved, nor reentry programs.
