Supporting statewide rural sexual violence survivors in ohio

The Ohio Alliance To End Sexual Violence (OAESV) received a $388,298 Project Grant award from the Department of Justice Offices Boards and Divisions Office on Violence Against Women to support statewide rural sexual violence survivors in Ohio under the Rural Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault, and Stalking Assistance Program.

The grant will support OAESV in identifying, assessing, and appropriately responding to child, youth, and adult victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking in rural Ohio communities through September 2024. Specifically, OAESV will encourage collaboration among service providers to help rural survivors access needed support services. The funding and three-year period will allow OAESV to strengthen rural networks and ensure quality services are available to all sexual violence victims regardless of location.
