Description

The project to be implemented by the north american development bank (nadbank) will carry out several activities to meet the goals, objectives, and guiding principles of the united states (U.S.) - mexico border 2025 program. The work will be implemented within the border region (62.5 miles north and south of the international boundary) in the two U.S. States of new mexico and texas and four mexican states of chihuahua, coahuila, nuevo leoacute; n, and tamaulipas. The U.S. - mexico border 2025 program focuses on four goals: goal 1 - reduce air pollution; goal 2 - improve water quality; goal 3 - promote sustainable materials and waste management and goal 4 - improve joint preparedness for and response to hazardous environmental emergencies. The four goals aim to protect human health and the environment for residents living in the communities of the border region. Some activities include supporting specific projects through subawards that are identified as priorities by border 2025 program partners and align with the goals and objectives of the program. Nadbank will provide logistic support of border 2025 meetings and activities organized by regional coordinators and task force CO-leaders of the new mexico-texas-chihuahua (3-state) and texas-coahuila-nuevo leoacute; n-tamaulipas (4-state) regions.
