DESCRIPTION:OTTAWA SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT WILL IMPROVE THE AQUATIC HABITAT QUALITY OF PACKER CREEK IN THE MAUMEE AREA OF CONCERN (AOC).ACTIVITIES:ACTIVITIES TO BE PERFORMED INCLUDE INSTALLATION OF A SELF-FORMING DITCH WITH RIPARIAN BUFFER, IMPROVING CHANNEL SINUOSITY, AND REGRADING AND VEGETATING STREAM BANK.SUBRECIPIENT:NO SUBAWARDS ARE INCLUDED IN THIS ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT.OUTCOMES:THIS PROJECT WILL RESTORE 0.42 MILES OF STREAM AND 5 ACRES OF WETLAND HABITAT ALONG PACKER CREEK IN THE MAUMEE AOC.
