The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) awarded a $729,305 Formula Grant under the Microloan Program (CFDA 59.046) to the Neighborhood Community Development Fund, a non-profit organization based in Pittsburgh, PA. Through this grant, the Neighborhood Community Development Fund will provide microloans up to $50,000 along with business training and technical assistance to start-up, newly established, and growing small businesses in the region. The Microloan Program aims to assist women, low-income, and minority entrepreneurs, business owners, and other individuals with the capability to operate successful business concerns in underserved areas lacking access to credit. The grant supports the Neighborhood Community Development Fund's efforts to promote community and economic development, as well as recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, through its lending, investment, and capacity-building activities targeted at underserved communities and businesses.
