Oregon Department of Education will distribute funds as subgrants to local educational agencies (LEAs) and Indian tribal schools across Oregon to support three priority areas: well-rounded educational opportunities, safe and healthy students, and effective use of technology. The agency must reserve at least 95 percent of the allocation for LEA subgrants, with no more than 1 percent for its own administrative costs. LEAs receiving $30,000 or more must allocate not less than 20 percent to well-rounded educational activities, not less than 20 percent to safe and healthy student programs, and a portion to technology initiatives. LEAs receiving less than $30,000 must use funds in at least one of these three areas. Each subgrant to an LEA carries a one-year term and minimum award of $10,000. LEAs may reserve up to 2 percent of their allocations for administrative costs and may form consortia to combine allocations for joint activities. Period of performance extends from July 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027. Place of performance is Salem, Oregon.
