About this award

This federal Formula Grant award from the Department of Education provides $108,876,050 to the Pennsylvania Department of Education through the Twenty-First Century Community Learning Centers program (CFDA 84.287). The grant funds the establishment and expansion of community learning centers that provide academic enrichment opportunities to students attending high-poverty and low-performing schools. Awarded July 1, 2022 for completion by September 30, 2023, over $22.3 million of the total funding is allocated to 71 new sub-grantees that will operate local community learning centers across Pennsylvania.
