The West Virginia Library Commission will use a $2.4 million formula grant award from the Institute of Museum and Library Services' Grants to States program to support its five-year plan for fiscal years 2023 through 2027. The plan focuses on expanding access to information and facilitating collaboration, leadership, and innovation in the state's library community. Specifically, the Commission will strengthen and support West Virginia libraries by expanding access to information, facilitating resource sharing among libraries, and providing robust technological infrastructure. It will also strengthen and support libraries through advisory support, continuing education, and programs to help library staff, directors, and trustees address community needs. The period of performance for this formula grant is October 1, 2022 through September 30, 2024.
