The District of Columbia Public Library will use a $2.155 million formula grant award under the American Rescue Plan Act from the Institute of Museum and Library Services to support digital inclusion and library services through June 2023. The funding will help the library respond to pandemic impacts and related economic needs in an equitable manner, continuing support for its 2018-2022 strategic plan goals. These goals include enabling residents to gain reading skills, access information resources and services needed to succeed, and engaging residents in community life through library programs. As the awardee, the Government of District of Columbia will administer the funding through the DC Public Library to provide these services to District residents in accordance with the Grants to States program objectives of supporting access to information and resources through libraries.

THE STATE LIBRARY OF NORTH CAROLINA WILL USE FUNDS TO SUPPORT THE GOALS OF THEIR FIVE-YEAR PLAN FOR FY 2018-2022, WHICH REFLECT THE PURPOSES AND PRIORITIES OF THE LIBRARY SERVICES AND TECHNOLOGY ACT (LSTA). IN NORTH CAROLINA, SPECIFIC GOALS ADDRESS 1) STRENGTHENING CAPACITY, SO THAT NORTH CAROLINIANS WILL HAVE LIBRARIES WITH ESSENTIAL RESOURCES AND CAPABLE STAFF THAT ENABLE THEM TO PROVIDE EXCEPTIONAL LIBRARY PROGRAMS AND SERVICES; 2) EXPANDING ACCESS, SO THAT NORTH CAROLINIANS WILL HAVE EXPANDED ACCESS TO RESOURCES FOR LEARNING AND SUCCESS IN SCHOOL, WORK, AND LIFE; AND 3) COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT, SO THAT NORTH CAROLINIANS WILL HAVE LIBRARIES THAT COOPERATE, COORDINATE, COLLABORATE, AND COMMUNICATE TO HELP THE COMMUNITY ADDRESS ITS NEEDS.

The Utah State Library will use $3.12 million in funding from the Institute of Museum and Library Services' Grants to States program (CFDA 45.310) to support goals outlined in its five-year plan that align with the purposes of the Library Services and Technology Act.
