The West Virginia Library Commission will use a $2,281,281.82 Formula Grant award from the Institute of Museum and Library Services' Grants to States program to support its five-year plan for fiscal years 2018 through 2022. The plan focuses on expanding access to information and educational resources through strengthening resource sharing among libraries and providing a robust technological infrastructure. It also aims to strengthen and support West Virginia libraries through advisory programs and continuing education initiatives to help libraries adapt to community needs. As the state library administrative agency and LSTA grantee for West Virginia, the Commission will work to address lifelong learning and ensure sustainable progress for libraries statewide.
