The Utah State Library will use $2.7 million in funding from the Institute of Museum and Library Services' Grants to States program (CFDA 45.310) to support digital inclusion, equitable library services, and the goals of its 2018-2022 strategic plan. Key goals include ensuring all Utah residents have access to quality information resources through libraries and promoting lifelong learning, literacy, workforce development and digital literacy. Funding will be used from April 2021 through December 2022 to help communities respond to pandemic impacts and related economic needs. The State Library will continue supporting information access, institutional capacity, and civic engagement through community-based library programs. As the sub-awardee, the Governor's Office will assist in delivering these services statewide.
