The State of Nebraska Department of Labor received a Formula Grant award of $363,582 from the Employment and Training Administration (ETA) under the Employment Service/Wagner-Peyser Funded Activities program (CFDA 17.207) for the period of July 1, 2025 through September 30, 2028. This award funds the development and dissemination of essential state and local labor market information (LMI) to support workforce decision-making across multiple customer groups, including job seekers, employers, workforce intermediaries, educators, policymakers, and economic development entities.
Under this award, the State of Nebraska Department of Labor will maintain a workforce information database and produce required public products including employment projections and a statewide economic analysis report. The grant also funds staff training to ensure adequate expertise in labor market information delivery and encourages the production of supplementary reports and data products with discretion in topic selection and presentation format. All deliverables are designed to provide accurate, actionable information that enables data users to make informed decisions regarding employment, careers, education, training, and career pathway strategies leading to rapid reemployment and worker advancement in high-demand, higher-wage occupations.
